Sungai Lembing Trip - Part 3

The Sungai Pandan Waterfalls

This is a great place to refresh and unwind. The forest is well preserved and water is crystal clear. There is a hanging bridge for tourist to take photos of the waterfalls.

The bridge is a little wobble so it gets scary at first.

However, the waterfall view is just awesome from here.

Ms Yoong & Lian Lee can’t resist being part of the nature...

And everyone was just too busy taking photos...

Yeow preparing for a perfect shot!

30 minutes later...

And John also wanted to join the shooting...

Not to forget our model

Evening, we headed to Kuantan for dinner.

Apple + bitter melon. Quite refreshing...

Sotong bakar with petai

Then we went to the beach for a walk...

Back to Lembing, we heard from internet forum that there’s a famous ‘siu yok’ which only sells at night

Looks like a pig slaughtering house...

We had too high expectation of the siu yok...

Turns out that Twisties taste better... Either the internet is wrong or we went to the wrong place...

Next, Panaroma Hill!

Sungai Lembing Trip - Part 2

On the way to Lembing...

Yeow took his time to practice his 自拍skills...

2 hours later...
...
...
...

Still practicing...

3 hours later...
...
...
...

Ms Yoong joined the 自拍club also...

Together with Ken...

We finally arrived at the Lembing town around 3.5hours. Although we depart late, we did make it on time for the next program.

The Lembing Township

Crossing the wooden bridge is interesting

There are 4 suspended bridges along Sungai. Lembing itself. Though it is for pedestrians only, there will be motors crossing it occasionally. Shall we try crossing with MyVi ?

We have rented a hostel for 1 night stay beside the Lembing River.

Ken was doing a pose which reminds me of...

'Merdeka'!

Or rather an election...

Me and John have to watch out our heads before entering the bathroom.

After settling our accommodation, we head towards the town for lunch.

Behold! The famous Lembing Ketchup Mee!

It taste really good! Though I'm not good in describing it, the chant below should summed it all:

Lembing Mee Chant:
Two chopped garlic, ketchup sauce, pak choy, char siew , slice carrot, onions on hand made noodle.

*Reference from the Big Mac Chant - Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun =)

And we slurp all the way! Yum Yum...

Next, Sungai Pandan Waterfalls... (not this post, sorry...)

Sungai Lembing Trip - Part 1

‘Where is Lembing ar?’ That’s the million dollar question I asked, day before the trip. And yes, I made the decision to go with my ACS fellas, without knowing much detail about the location and plan.

One of my colleagues did mention to me its in Pahang near Bentong, which ‘should be about 1 hour’ drive from KL.

On that very day, I was told that it will take ‘only 4 hours’ to reach there...*sweat*...

They say ‘knowing is half the battle’ (the G.I. Joe quote), but it only applies in war. For a vacation, it’s sometimes more exciting if you happened to have no clue of what lies ahead (Yo! Joe!).

So the journey begins... with full of surprises!

And hiccups... *cough cough*...

After having our breakfast,

Ah John's car is not in good condition...

We have no choice but to change to Ah Ken's car...

Ms. Yong is teaching them a lesson...

Ah John felt threatened...

Anyhow, we managed to drive our way up to Lembing.

Next, the Sg. Pandan Waterfall!

to be continue...
