Yes, our economy is stable...

By the time you read this, KLCI already plunged to as low as 800pts. I was in Pavilion during Deepavali holiday, and had taken a few photo shots to show how bad the effect of the economy down turn.

JCo Donuts & Coffee. There are no queues! Wow! I can’t believe it. Shots were taken during lunch hour…

The newly opened Mr Baoz! Can’t believe they have to offer free tasting to woo customers. I tried 3 pieces and it taste like, well, baoz lor… didn’t buy it though…

And so on…

And so fort…

At least most of us still managed to spend some money on food court. Well, you have to spend at least RM10 for a ‘not so good’ meal. It’s Pavilion, mah…

So who is there to say that our economy is stable? It won’t be surprise if KLCI plunge a lot more till 200pts like what happened 10 years ago.

I guess in this time of economy down turn, Mr A wouldn't dare to challenge the PM post either… no no… not the right time…

Vietnam Trip Episode 8 - Mekong River part 2

Mekong Delta, a small village which produced local fruits and agricultural products. It was hot and humid all day round… I could have taken 5 showers in one day.

Surprisingly, it was quite cool under the roof.

We were treated with honey tea

And Fruits

Bargaining along the streets

Enjoy the song performance by the locals And end it with (another) boat ride back to where we came from.

I felt like in Venice...

The locals are pretty tough and strong… Imagine having to row a boat filled with burger kings and queens for 3 miles.

So we finally reached the sea, ummm… bigger river, sorry…

And having some more fun during the cruise, not wasting any time.

Welcome to the National Head Butting Competition. Whoever cracks the coconut with his/her head gets to drink the water.

Our first contestant... Ouch, that sure hurts!

2nd try! Now he's concentrating...

Finally!

2nd contestant! Owww... Cracked her head instead of the coconut!

Let's see how our defending champion can do!

No Sweat! She's our Winner!

This ends our Coconut Head Butting Competition, with a Closing Ceremony...

Vietnam Trip Episode 6 - Vietnam Coffee

Cruising was fun, but crossing the road in Ho Chi Minh City is even more fun!!!

Of course this amount of traffic is considered sap sap water lar. Tried crossing the big roads before and we are like screaming 'STOP STOP', 'RUN RUN', 'JUMP JUMP' (sorry I made it up).

Accident rate is consider very low in Vietnam. They are driving like 20, 30km/h, so no surprise here... If a motor hits one of my cousin the motor will rosak first, hehe...

So we finally had a chance to taste some Vietnam Coffee at a place called Trung Nguyen Coffee House.

And our judges are here to do some tasting...

And the reaction was...

Well, a picture = 1000 words... =_=

Some of us preferred puddings instead...

And cakes...

We enjoyed it, and we still want more...

Vietnam Trip Episode 5 - Saigon River Cruise

One of the famous tourist spot - The Saigon River

In summary, we are here to:

Take pictures! Of course...

Start with a very cute motor...

And the Cruise...

Makan

Very good idea. Instead of putting small ice cubes one by one, this one is half the size of a cup. One cube will just freeze your drinks in minutes. Did I mention that they put ice in urinals to remove the smell? =p

Actually the food was so so... Don't expect too much from a place pack with Ah Mohs...

A unsatisfy customer...

Nevermind, somebody is here to cheer you up with a magic show...

At least we had a great time enjoying the sceneries...

Old Towns

The kopitiam business has surely upgraded itself into a higher standard F&B outlet. It was a new concept to everyone at first, with its ‘old town feel’ and interesting menu.

Too bad, the market has matured to a point that you can almost find it everywhere around Klang Valley. Same outlet design, same menu, even similar shop names. It makes you think that Malaysians has run out of creative ideas (even run out of shop names), instead, copying each other to suit the market trend.

Same Menu...

Roti Bakar

White Coffee

Nasi Lemak

Half Boiled Egg

Similar Outlet Names...

Old Town Kopitiam

Old Taste

Papa Kopitiam

Kemaman Kopitiam

That’s not all… You will also find:

My Kopitiam
My Taste Kopitiam
My Toast

And the list goes on…

Seems like Starbucks is having a tough time all around…
