Family Trip to Pangkor Island, Teluk Intan and KL during Christmas Holiday - Photos

We decided to go Pangkor Island during Christmas holiday since we haven't been there before. Mum said she wanted to 'conquer' the island. We drove there from Penang and it took less then 3 hours to reach Lumut. We stayed at the Swiss Garden Hotel at Lumut for 1 night, then headed off to Pangkor Island via Ferry the next day. Upon arrival, we rented a van and the driver took us around the island.

It was great experience having to enjoy the sceneries and nature on the island. We had a good time doing watersports and archery at the hotel beaches as well.

The next day, we left to Teluk Intan to see the Menara Condong, or the PISA Tower of Malaysia. After that we headed off to Bidor for lunch at the famous Wantan Mee shop. We then drove towards KL.

Pavilion KL, the new shopping complex opposite Starhill. We did some window shopping only as things are too expensive over there. The decoration was very nice and special.

We spent a night at the Westin Hotel, then went back to Penang next afternoon. I had some videos of the trip to be uploaded on this blog soon. Stay tuned!

Paintball in Subang

We had paintball near the Subang lake garden, organised among our Shin-Etsu colleagues ... At first we expect to end the game with bruises, as the vest and face mask doesn't provide much protection to the other parts of the body at all. However, it wasn't that bad if someone got hit by long range shot. The semi-auto gun, or marker, holds around 100 bullets and fired in 90m/s. But don't let it fool you, the accuracy is pretty bad (you can see the bullets coming and can even dodge it matrix style)... that explain why
we took 1 hour to finish 1 round.

The first round is a one shot kill game, so those who are out early in the game will have to wait until the game is finish, which is quite frustrating for some people. The 2nd round though, is a 'shoot till you finish your bullet' with unlimited lives. Obviously most of us finish the bullets in a matter of time... Leaving few guys trying to shoot each other in close range. One of our friend been hit pretty badly in close range, too close...

It was quite tiring having to wear the heavy mask with no room to breath. Having to hold the gun and squart down all the time makes your knees sore and have to sit on the mud if too tired. I did get muscle pain the next day I go to work, haven't been exercise lately...

Though it's expensive to play this game, it was a fun and good experience. Recommend to give it a try.

Christmas House Party 2007

It was a great night having invited so many guests and families to our early Christmas party. Shannie ordered some catering food and I ordered Dominos pizza. Aunty Mary also cooked her special home made curry chicken, together with my potato salad.

After the dinner, we had some games for the kids to play. Although the house was packed, we managed to get the games going (but some kids cry when they lose) - see video=)

After the game, we had the adults watch some Christian testimony videos. Our church members did come later after the church service to 'clear up' the food. There is still a lot of left over food that could supply us for at least two days of dinner...

We ended the party after that. All in all, a tiring but meaningful Christmas party.
